Job Summary:Pediatric Dental office in Duxbury, MA seeks friendly, enthusiastic, caring and qualified CDA or on-the- job trained dental assistant. CDA candidates must be comfortable working with kids doing coronal polishing. For all assistants they must be able to take and develop digital x-rays, aid in behavior management, assist with restorative, extractions, spacers, sealants, SDF, emergencies, and nitrous oxide appointments. Candidate must be proficient in sterilization and be willing to help with team projects. Supportive and independent dental practice – not a DSO. Options for hours: Monday-Wed Monday-Wed in addition to every other Thursday 7:45-5:15 (approx) Monday – Thursday The office is closed on Fridays. Options for occasional extra hours if volunteering to assist for call. Duties:- Assist the dentist during dental procedures, ensuring efficient and smooth operations- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and equipment- Take and develop dental X-rays as directed by the dentist- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures including distraction techniques, have a good ability to calm and explain procedures to children, – Fun to work with, trustworthy, honest and reliable.- Take accurate patient vital signs and record in patient charts- Perform dental receptionist duties such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and handling phone calls (optional)- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following aseptic techniques and infection control protocols- Take panoramic films- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations Qualifications:- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a dental assistant program preferred, must be 18 years old- Valid certification or MA license as a Dental Assistant in- Proficient in taking dental X-rays and operating dental imaging equipment- Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical imaging techniques- Familiarity with dental receptionist duties, including scheduling appointments and managing patient records (optional)- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients and dental team members Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: From $27.00 per hour Expected hours: 24 xe2x80x93 32 per week Benefits: Bereavement leave Continuing education credits Free parking Opportunities for advancement Paid jury duty Paid sick time Paid time off Retirement plan Safety equipment provided Uniform allowance Schedule: Day shift Monday to Friday No weekends Ability to Relocate: Duxbury, MA 02332: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
