Dental Treatment Coordinator DeSanti & Linden Dentistry is currently looking for a new member to join our team as a full-time Dental Treatment Coordinator. Our office is focused on maintaining the highest quality of life and oral health for our patients through superior dentistry, offered in a safe and friendly environment. The right candidate must be a true team player, extroverted, compassionate, accountable, dependable and have excellent communication skills. Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures required, previous experience as a treatment coordinator preferred. All interested candidates must complete Indeed phone screening to be considered. Job Responsibilities Include: Facilitating communication between the clinical team and the patient, understanding the necessary xe2x80x9cNext Stepsxe2x80x9d in each patientxe2x80x99s treatment plan and coordinating care. Assist the doctor in itemizing treatments for each patient. Coordinating all patients receiving an itemized treatment plan, either by email or postal service. Understanding CDT codes and terminology. Coordinating patient benefits and payment plans with the Financial Coordinator. Facilitating all patient referrals to specialists. Arrange scheduled phone calls for doctors with patients and specialists. Creating a New Patient Experience to welcome patients to our office, effectively screen patient needs to schedule for their initial visit and facilitating all new patient paperwork. Answer incoming phone calls and refer calls to the appropriate team member Coordinating patient entry into the office using Dentrix Hub software and telephone. Meet and greet patients by name and updating address, phone number, and insurance information Alerting appropriate team members of patientsxe2x80x99 arrivals using Dentrix software. Checking-out patients, processing payments, and dismissing patients. Answer patient questions regarding insurance benefits and or outstanding claim status Verbal confirmation of patient appointments that are not electronically confirmed. Address openings in the Hygiene schedule using Dental Intel software. Scanning specialist referrals into network and using HIPAA-compliant encrypted email to send referrals/x-rays. Cleaning/disinfecting Reception Area, as necessary. Job Qualifications/Skills Required: Excellent communication skills with a high-energy personality Ability and desire to work well in a public/customer service capacity and within a team Always have a positive attitude about the practice and the services provided Annual training in, and strict adherence to, all CDC, OSHA, HIPAA, and NYSDOH regulations Competence in Microsoft Word and Excel Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures required Experience in Dentrix preferred Ability to learn and memorize telephone scripts Background check and professional references required.
