In addition to the beautiful landscape, it also offers a great cost of living and close-knit communities. Job Summary: Provides appropriate oral health services to patients and families. Prepares materials and equipment for treatment and has them ready for dentist’s use. Assists the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures including, but not limited to, processing dental radiographs (x-rays) and Job Requirements: Education and Work Experience: High School Education/GED or equivalent: Required Associatexe2x80x99s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred Proof of completion after 120 days of continuous employment: A board-approved course in the Dental Practice Act (California) and a board-approved 8-hour course in infection control.: Required Licenses/Certifications: Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) in state of practice: Preferred Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification: Required Essential Functions: Sterilizes and disinfects instruments and equipment. Prepares treatment rooms, instruments and tray setups for dental procedures. Greets and prepares patients for treatment. Exposes, develops and mounts dental radiographs. Assists the dentist during examinations and treatment procedures. Conducts work in compliance with office policies and procedures, safety and OSHA guidelines. Participates in the achievement of patient satisfaction and office production goals. Provides patient education materials. Maintains an appropriate office environment. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Organizational Requirements: Adventist Health is committed to the safety and wellbeing of our associates and patients.
