OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team in providing exceptional dental care to our patients. The ideal candidate will be passionate about oral health and possess the necessary expertise to deliver high-quality hygiene services. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in educating patients about oral hygiene practices while ensuring their comfort during treatments. Duties- Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations, including scaling and polishing teeth.- Conduct medical documentation accurately for each patient visit.- Assist in the development of individualized patient care plans based on assessments.- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.- Maintain infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.- Utilize dental software such as Dentrix for scheduling, record keeping, and treatment planning.- Collaborate with dentists and other dental professionals in providing comprehensive care.- Assist with pediatric patients, ensuring a positive experience for children during their visits.- Support general dentistry procedures as needed, including assisting with chairside tasks. Qualifications- Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.- Experience in a dental clinic setting is preferred; familiarity with CAD is a plus.- Knowledge of medical coding and documentation practices is beneficial.- Proficiency in using Dentrix or similar dental management software.- Strong understanding of infection control standards and practices.- Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients on oral health.- Ability to work well within a team and provide compassionate care to all patients.- Previous experience in dental assisting is an advantage but not required.
