Dental Assistant Overview: We are seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to join our team in both our Key Largo and Tavenier locations. We are a fast paced office providing comprehensive and compassionate dental care. Dental Assistant training by a certified program is required. Experience is preferred, but we also welcome enthusiastic individuals eager to learn. Duties:-Preparing patients: Greeting patients, making them comfortable in the dental chair, taking their medical history, and taking x-rays-Preparing exam rooms: Setting up the room and preparing materials-Assisting with procedures: Handing the dentist the right tools at the right time, such as during fillings, crowns, and extractions-Making impressions: Taking dental impressions-Sterilizing equipment: Cleaning and sterilizing dental instruments, rooms, and equipment-Other tasks: Process x-rays, complete lab tasks, schedule appointments, maintain patient records, provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures, maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures – Perform various office tasks as needed-Travel between the Key Largo and Tavernier locations-Pick up lab cases Experience: The ideal candidate should have experience and knowledge in the following areas: – X-Rays – Assisting in dental procedures – CAD (Computer-Aided Design) – Knowledge of HIPAA regulations – Understanding of medical imaging techniques – Experience as a dental receptionist is a plus – Proficiency in aseptic technique and infection control – Familiarity with maintaining medical records – Knowledge of dental anatomy The ideal candidate would have:-Excellent organizational skills-Detail-oriented personality-Ability to manage multiple things at once-Good dexterity skills-Professional and friendly demeanor-Strong communication skills-Great listening abilities-Compassionate attitude This position offers an excellent opportunity for growth and development in the dental field.
